Project Description

An editorial site for a Santa Rosa maker of hand-rolled brigadeiros: every flavor named in English and Português with real box prices, a Weddings section built around the Brazilian dessert table, and WhatsApp as the way to order, from the chat widget to a /bio link page for Instagram.

The Showcase

A storefront without the cart.

Nothing here checks out on the site. Every section moves a visitor toward the same place: knowing the flavor, knowing the price, and opening a chat to order it.

PAGE 01

Every flavor, in both languages

The Brigadeiros section lists all 15 flavors with the English name above the Português one, like Romeo & Juliet over Queijo Parmesão c/ Goiabada, and box prices from $25 for 12 to $120 for 100.

Prices up front, on the home page

The Our Sweets carousel puts real products next to real prices, from a $25 box of 12 brigadeiros to $30 chocolate-dipped strawberries, with a link to the full menu above it.

A wedding table, priced and bookable

The Weddings section shows real event photos above the three things a couple asks first: up to six flavors, from $120 per 100, and finishes to match. Check your date on WhatsApp starts the conversation.

A chat that hands off to WhatsApp

The chat panel opens from a button in the corner of the page. Whatever a visitor types opens in their own WhatsApp with the text already filled in, so the order continues in an app they already use.

Challenge & Solution

Challenge & Solution

The Challenge

Doughcinhos makes everything to order, with no shop, cart, or checkout. Its products also need explaining: brigadeiros, trufas, and pão de mel have Portuguese names, and prices depend on box size. A visitor needed to see what's on offer, what it costs, and how to order, whether the request was a box of twelve or a full wedding table.

The Solution

We built the site around the menu and a conversation instead of a store. The Menu & Prices page lists every flavor in English and Português with its box sizes and prices. The home page moves from a direct-link hero through a product carousel with real prices to a dedicated Weddings section. A WhatsApp chat widget lets a visitor type a message that opens in their own WhatsApp with the text already filled in, and a /bio page gives the Instagram profile one link to ordering, the menu, and each product line.

Key Features

15 Brigadeiro flavors on the menu, plus trufas, strawberries, cookies, and honey cake
EN + PT Every flavor named in English and Português
WhatsApp Ordering from the chat widget, the menu, the Weddings section, and /bio
Weddings A dedicated section for the Brazilian dessert table, with flavors, pricing, and a date check
Real prices Box sizes and prices shown on the home page carousel and the full menu
/bio A phone-first Instagram link page that leads with the order button

Our Process

How we got there.

A Menu in Two Languages

Built the Menu & Prices page flavor by flavor, with each English name above its Portuguese one and every box size and price listed, so a customer can choose before they ever send a message.

Editorial Design

Designed a warm, serif-led home page around real product photography, moving from direct links to Brigadeiros, Trufas, and Strawberries into a carousel with prices, a gallery of named products, and an occasions grid.

Ordering Over WhatsApp

Added a chat widget that composes the message on the site and hands it to WhatsApp, a wedding inquiry with its own pre-filled quote request, and a /bio page whose order button mentions Instagram.

Launch Foundation

Finished with an SEO pass (brand favicon, sitemap, link previews on every page) and a GitHub Actions deploy, so a change to the menu goes live through a single push.

Built for Mobile

Four taps to anywhere.

On a phone the home page opens with the name of the thing and four direct links, so a visitor who already knows what they want can skip the scroll.

  • Direct links, stacked

Brigadeiros, Trufas, Strawberries, and See Menu become full-width rows sized for a thumb.

  • WhatsApp in reach

The green chat button stays pinned to the screen while a visitor scrolls.

  • The photo keeps its place

The hero photo of the gift boxes follows straight after the links, so the product shows up on the first screen.

Also On Mobile

The whole menu, one column.

On a phone the two-column flavor list stacks into one, with each English name directly above its Português name, so the menu reads top to bottom with no pinching.

Link in Bio

From profile to order in one tap.

A visitor who taps the link on Instagram has usually just seen the sweets. So this page has no header, footer, or chat widget, just a logo, one order button, and the menu sorted by what they came for.

  • Order on WhatsApp comes first

The largest button on the page opens WhatsApp with a message already written, saying they found Doughcinhos on Instagram and would like to place an order.

  • Links by product

Menu & Prices, Brigadeiros, Truffles & Strawberries, and Butter Cookies & Honey Cake each jump to that section of the menu, so nobody has to hunt.

  • Real photos under the links

A three-photo strip of brigadeiros and strawberries follows the links, with Call, Email, and Instagram just below.
